The most
unpredictable battery in high school baseball will return to the mound,
although we will have to wait a bit. It has been officially confirmed that
the second season of Oblivion Battery (Bokyaku
Battery) will air in 2027. Along with the announcement, a
visual teaser and promotional video were released marking the start of
the "Oblivion Event Project," a multi-stage
initiative designed to build anticipation for the premiere.
The newly
revealed video features voice lines recorded specifically for this announcement
by the main cast. Returning actors include:

Oblivion Event Project Schedule
To
commemorate the anime and keep the momentum going, a number of events have been
scheduled throughout 2026:
- April 2026: A special program
titled "TV Anime Broadcast Second Anniversary Double Play
Special" will be broadcast to celebrate the second
anniversary of the premiere of the first season.
- Summer 2026: The "Oblivion
Battery Season 1 Retrospective Screening Relay" will take
place, with multiple theatrical screenings of the first season accompanied
by onstage greetings from the cast.
- Fall 2026: A large-scale event
titled "TV Anime Oblivion Battery Season 2 Kickoff
Event" is scheduled.
Production
and Background
The first
season, animated by MAPPA under the direction of Makoto
Nakazono, aired from April to July 2024. The series adapts Eko
Mikawa's manga, serialized in Shonen Jump+ since
April 2018, which has surpassed 200 million views on the platform.
