The curtain
falls on the manga research club. The official X (formerly Twitter) account for
the 2.5 Dimensional Seduction (2.5-jigen no Ririsa)
manga announced that the series has officially concluded. Chapter 201,
published this Saturday, marks the end point of a successful serialization that
spanned more than six years.
Yuu
Hashimoto began
drawing this ecchi comedy on the Shonen Jump+ website in June
2019. Since then, the work has amassed 4 million copies in circulation.
Publisher Shueisha confirmed that the final volume, number 25, is scheduled to
be released on February 4, 2026.
Although
the manga has ended, the franchise is still alive on screen. J.C.Staff produced
a 24-episode first season that premiered in the summer of 2024, and a second
season is currently in production, ensuring that fans still have more
content to enjoy.
Synopsis
The story
follows Okumura, president of the manga club who declares to have no interest
in real girls, obsessed only with the 2D character Lilliel. Everything changes
when Lilysa, a 3D girl with a passion for cosplay, joins the club. By
convincing Okumura to be his photographer, the lines between 2D and 3D begin to
blur in this romantic comedy full of otaku passion.
