The official X account (formerly Twitter) of the anime World Trigger it has formally announced the start of the "Reboot Project" for the franchise. The announcement came accompanied by the opening of a new website, the publication of a visual teaser and a promotional video that anticipates the return of the Neighbors.
The visual teaser shows the protagonist Yuma Kuga using his Black Trigger, jumping forward into a corner of the city at dusk. For its part, the 15-second promotional video presents the "Gate Generation" alarm and the slogan: "The portal from another dimension, again".
Although the term "Reboot" suggests a reboot, specific details about the nature of this project will be kept secret until the event Jump Festa 2026. The production team will reveal more information during their performance on stage next December 20 at 4:20 p.m. (Japan time).
Context of the franchise
This move comes after a mysterious post last Monday that simply said "12.4 REBOOT". The original anime of World Trigger, produced by Toei Animation, debuted in 2014 and has had three seasons to date, the last being broadcast between 2021 and 2022.
