The best
Christmas gift for the Negators! Just at the end of the one-hour winter special
aired this Thursday, the Undead Unluck franchise officially
confirmed that the production of its second season has been
greenlit. The news assures that Andy and Fuuko's misadventures are far from
over on the small screen.
To
commemorate this exciting announcement, the creator of the original
manga, Yoshifumi Tozuka, drew a special illustration thanking fans
for their support. This sequel comes after a successful first season that aired
between October 2023 and March 2024, covering the
first story arcs with a vibrant adaptation.
The series
has brought together the core team that worked on Fire Force. The
anime is directed by Yuki Yase under the studio david
production (famous for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure). The
character design is in charge of Morioka and the music is composed by Suehiro,
all under the planning of UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS. This
high-caliber team is expected to return for the sequel.
The
legacy of manga
Yoshifumi
Tozuka's original
manga began as a one-shot in the Weekly Shonen Jump in 2019,
starting its serialization in 2020. The work ended its publication in the
magazine on January 27, and Shueisha released the
27th and final volume on April 4, including five epilogue chapters.
With awards
such as the Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taishō in its history and a
loyal fanbase, Undead Unluck promises to maintain its
"Wicked Sick" style in this new phase.
