Hollywood
is preparing for an otaku civil war. The anime nominees at the 2026
Saturn Awards have been revealed today, confirming that the 53rd
edition of these prestigious awards will be a battleground for Japan's biggest
franchises. Unlike other competitions, there is no discrimination here: the
giants of Shonen are all invited.

The Best
International Animated Film category is basically a dream come true
for fans (and a nightmare for the jury). The contenders are:
- Attack on Titan The Movie: THE
LAST ATTACK
- Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze
Arc
- Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba
Infinity Castle - Akaza Sairai
- The
Colors Within
Also
competing are the Chinese and European films Ne Zha 2 and Stitch
Head.
Solo
Leveling and the Return of the "Enemy"
On
television, Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow- achieved
a nomination for Best Animated Television Series, validating
Jinwoo's success.
Interestingly,
the film KPop Demon Hunters (the same one that beat Kimetsu at
the Golden Globes) is also nominated, but in the main category of Best
Animated Feature, thus avoiding a direct confrontation with Japanese anime
this time.
The
ceremony will be on March 8 in Universal City, California.
