About
Ghost in the Shell
The
franchise originated with the manga of Masamune Shirow, first
serialized in 1989. The story follows Motoko Kusanagi, leader of an elite unit
tasked with countering high-level cybercrime in a hyper-connected future.
With its
detailed realism and philosophical explorations of identity and technology, the
work has inspired multiple adaptations, including Mamoru Oshii's iconic 1995
film and several television series. This new installment seeks to reinterpret
the classic cyberpunk with the distinctive visual aesthetic of Science SARU.
