An
unexpected change shakes the team for next season. The anime's official website
announced Yumiri Hanamori's departure from Magilumiere Magical Girls
Inc. (Kabushikigaisha Magilumiere) on Sunday. The actress,
who played one of the main characters, Hitomi Koshigaya, will not return for
the second season scheduled to premiere in July 2026 through
Nippon Television.
According
to the statement, the decision was made after repeated discussions between the
production committee and Hanamori's talent agency, tomorrow jam,
with the latter formally requesting the change.

Although the exact reasons behind the agency's request were not specified, both parties carefully reviewed the situation before agreeing to the actress' departure. The production team reported that details about the new voice actress who will take on the role of Hitomi Koshigaya will be announced at a later date.
Season 2
Staff Changes
In addition
to the change in the cast, the second season, produced by J.C. Staff,
will have renewals in its creative team:
- Riki Fukushima takes over the management
(replacing the previous team).
- Michiko Yokote will be the new script
supervisor.
- Masahiro Fujii returns as chief
animation director.
- Makoto Miyazaki is once again in charge
of the musical composition.
About
the franchise
The series,
based on the manga by Sekka Iwata and Yu Aoki,
presents a world where supernatural disasters ("Kaii") are treated as
natural phenomena and magical girls are an admired profession. The story
follows Kana Sakuragi, a recent graduate who joins the startup Magilumiere,
where she works alongside the strict but talented Hitomi Koshigaya.
The first
season aired between October and December 2024, with the original manga
concluding its publication in July 2025.
