About Iron Wok Jan!

The story centers on Jan Akiyama, a brilliant but arrogant young chef who works at the Gobanchou Hanten restaurant. There he constantly challenges Kiriko Gobanchou, the owner's granddaughter, in an ideological battle: while Kiriko believes that the food is for the customer, Jan maintains that "the kitchen is a battle" to defeat opponents.

Shinji Saijyo's original manga was published in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shonen Champion magazine between 1995 and 2000, compiling a total of 27 volumes.
