The
creators of one of the most beloved romantic and sci-fi comedies of the last
decade are ready to conquer the small screen with a completely new proposal.
The company Aniplex formally presented the first official details for the anime
adaptation of King's Proposal (Ousama no Propose), confirming
that the series will premiere sometime in 2027 and revealing the
renowned voice actress who will lead the main cast.
During a
special presentation, the distributor shared a first promotional image of the
project along with the confirmation that the talented Rie Takahashi will
lend her voice to the protagonist, Saika Kuozaki. The story presents us with
Saika as the most powerful mage in the world, the only one capable of stopping
the mysterious entities that try to destroy the planet every 300 hours.
However, after being severely wounded in combat, she decides to inherit her
powers and her own body to an ordinary high school student named Mushiki Kuga.
Having the
skills of the supreme sorceress does not mean knowing how to master them, so
the young Mushiki will be forced to enter a magic academy taking the physical
appearance of Saika. Her mission will not only be to learn how to control this
immeasurable power to save humanity, but also to keep her true masculine
identity hidden from the whole world. This long-awaited anime recovers the
project that had been first announced during a live broadcast in October 2025,
beginning to take shape towards its definitive release in 2027.
