Moving to
an island to escape problems sounds like a perfect plan, until you run into a
teenager who claims to come from the seventies. The TMS Entertainment studio
has just released a new official trailer and a promotional
image for this anime film adaptation for the light drama
novels created by Akiko Abe, To You in the Beyond (Doko
Yori mo Tooi Basho ni Iru Kimi e). The material revealed this Monday not
only gives us a taste of the tone of the film, but also confirmed the main
actors and also announced that it will be on October 9 when
this film arrives in Japanese theaters.
The
voices behind the island's secrets
Giving
voice to a mystery of this stature requires experience. The production team
selected a fairly solid group of actors to play the locals of this enigmatic
area. Check out who will take the microphones to give life to the characters of
the original novel:

Umi

- Anna

Ushio
Kofune in Summer Time Rendering and Riko Amanai in Jujutsu
Kaisen.
- Simba
Tsuchiya as Mikiya Ozaki
Tatara
Fujita in Welcome to the Ballroom and Tsutomu Goshiki in Haikyuu!!.
- Hiroshi
Tamaki as Kozu
Tatsu
in The Way of the Househusband and Shinichi Chiaki in the
live-action Nodame Cantabile.
The road
to the big screen
Already
knowing the author who brought the project to life in October 2017, it is worth
noting that her impact was so constant that the publisher Shueisha launched
a manga adaptation just in August of last year. For the film version, Junichi
Wada took the director's chair, backed by Sayaka Kuwamura's script and
Hechima's designs. The distributor Shochiku will be in charge of placing the
film on the billboards in Japan.
What
mystery does the year 1974 hide?
Kazuki
Tsukigase needs an urgent reset. To get away from everyone he knows, he
transfers to a high school located on a remote and extremely quiet island.
Everything seems to be going great until he decides to explore a local cove
famous for a dark urban legend: it is said that people who enter there usually
disappear without a trace. During his tour, he encounters a girl who is
completely unconscious.
When she
wakes up, the young woman remembers absolutely nothing of her past life or how
she got there. His only anchor to reality is his name, Nao, his 16 years of age
and a specific date that he does not stop whispering: 1974. With a scenario
full of mystery and drama ahead, the film will focus on the
relationship of both as they try to unearth the truth.
