It seemed
that the trail of this Demon King had gone cold forever, but fate has other
plans. After a silence that felt eternal, this Monday the news that many
already thought was lost: How Not to Summon a Demon Lord (Isekai Mao to
Shokan Shojo no Dorei Majutsu) is officially working on its season
3. Those responsible for the series dropped the bombshell without warning,
confirming that production is already underway to continue with the chaotic
life of Takuma and her companions.
The
voices that lead this ecchi comedy
Although
the announcement does not yet release an exact release date or an extended
trailer, it is expected that the protagonist trio will return to maintain that
chemistry that made the previous installments shine. If you need to refresh
your memory on who is behind these characters, here are the seiyuus who lend
their vocal cords to the heroes of this fantasy story:
- Masaaki
Mizunaka as Diablo (Takuma Sakamoto)
Keisuke
Baji in Tokyo Revengers and Ryuuen Kakeru in Classroom
of the Elite.
- Yu Serizawa as Shera L.
Greenwood
Iroha
Igarashi in 3D Kanojo: Real Girl and Lolopechka in Black
Clover.
- Azumi
Waki as Rem Galleu
Senko
in The Helpful Fox Senko-san and Special Week in Umamusume:
Pretty Derby.
Five
years of waiting for the return to television
It's been a
long time since we last saw Diablo. The first season landed in 2018 and the
second came to us in 2021, leaving a gap of five years until this new
announcement in the middle of 2026. The original light novel,
written by Yukiya Murasaki and illustrated by Takahiro Tsurusaki, continues to
be published under the Kodansha imprint and maintains a fairly
strong readership. That popularity, added to the success of the manga, is what
finally allowed the production committee to give the green light to these new
episodes after so long in the freezer.
What
does a gamer trapped in a villain's body do?
If you
don't remember what the mess is about, I'll get you up to speed quickly. Takuma
Sakamoto is a socially-phobic player who dominates an MMORPG with his Demon
King avatar. One day, he is summoned to another world with the exact
appearance of his character. The problem? Two girls, Shera and Rem, tried to
enslave him, but the shot backfired and they ended up being the ones tied to
him. Now, Takuma has to pretend he's a scary and powerful villain in order to
survive, hiding the fact that inside he's still the same shy boy he always was.
This season 3 promises to continue exploring his quest to find
a way back home while dealing with increasingly dangerous enemies.
