If the
daily routine has already exhausted you and you are looking for a safe haven to
turn off your brain for a while, the summer season has you covered. The
ever-reliable studio Doga Kobo has just released the first
video trailer for Mebius Dust, confirming that this relaxing
project will hit our screens in July 2026. And to prepare the warm
and nostalgic atmosphere, the trailer let us listen to a fragment of
"Mebius", the opening performed by the very talented
singer-songwriter Leo Ieiri.
A trio
of voices to brighten our days
For a life
recounting anime to work, the chemistry between its protagonists has to feel
super natural. Thankfully, the production committee did their homework and
selected a trio of seiyuus who know perfectly how to convey
that high school friendship vibe without forcing things:
- Yuto Takenaka as Araki
An emerging acting talent that promises to give us a very honest and fresh performance in this leading role. - Nene Hieda as Stella
Recognized for bringing to life Douki-chan in Ganbare Douki-chan and Yashiro Momoka in Gundam Build Divers. - Haruka Sato as Olga
Known for her time on the idol project 22/7 as Miyako Kouno, bringing all her charisma to the group.
Doga
Kobo's guarantee to heal the soul
Behind this
gem is director Tarou Iwasaki, who is working hand in hand
with Yoriko Tomita on the scripts. Having this pair backed by
the enormous visual quality of Doga Kobo is basically a seal of guarantee if
you are looking for a light, tender and well-cared for comedy. In addition, it
was confirmed that the series will last only one cours (about
13 episodes), so they will give us a compact story without unnecessary filler.
As a
curious fact for the band that closely follows the industry, this work did not
come out of nowhere. Hajime Shinagawa's original story was the
brand new winner in the "Kids/Game" category of the Project
Anima 2019 contest, becoming the third franchise of this prestigious
contest to make the big leap to television animation.

apparent normality of their surroundings, there is a layer of mystery and
hidden depth in their daily lives. It's a tale about the unbreakable bonds of
friendship, the small miracles of urban life, and the silent secrets that are
hidden in plain sight.
