The spite
of a betrayed woman can be the fuel that reduces an entire empire to ashes. The
production of the animated adaptation of A Livid
Lady's Guide to Getting Even (Buchigire Reijo wa Hofuku wo
Chikaimashita) confirmed this Friday that the series will officially
premiere in July 2026, also revealing new cast members and the
details of its soundtrack.
To raise
the expectations of the otaku community ahead of the TV
debut, REMOW will host a special panel during the Anime
Expo on July 4. An exclusive teaser featuring the
first half of the opening episode will be screened at this event, allowing
attendees to be the first to witness Elizabeth's transformation from a betrayed
noblewoman to a ruthless avenger.

of A Livid Lady's Guide to Getting Even
The project
is being developed at Studio Comet under the direction
of Naoyuki Kuzuya. The structure of the episodes and scripts are in
charge of Mitsutaka Hirota, while Sayaka Anezaki is
in charge of the character design to capture the dark fantasy
tone of the original work. In the musical section, Yui Ogura will
perform the opening song titled "Q.E.D.", and Aguri
Onishi will lend his voice to the ending song "Goodbye
Lullaby".
The plot of
this visceral isekai (albeit originated in a narrative of
reincarnation and magic) follows Elizabeth, the prime minister's daughter who
was destined to be the queen of Haldoria. Her world collapses when her fiancé,
the crown prince, publicly calls off the engagement and imprisons her under
false rumors. Far from resigning herself to oblivion, Elizabeth decides to use
seven powerful magical grimoires to trample on the country that despised her
and orchestrate the fall of the crown.
This story
was originally born as a web novel in Shosetsuka ni Naro in
2020, achieving such success that it quickly jumped to the light novel and
manga format. Now, with the confirmation of its premiere for the summer season,
the promise of a strong and ruthless female protagonist is positioned as one of
the highlights of the year.
