Dying in a bed between cotton sheets after
having been an invincible warrior is the worst punishment for someone who only
lived for the glory of combat. The animated adaptation of the popular
light novel series Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden (Kyoran
Reijo Nia Liston: Byojaku Reijo ni Tenseishita Kami-goroshi no Bujin no
Kareinaru Muso Roku) has just shown off its first weapons. The production
committee revealed its first official trailer along with a promotional
poster, announcing that the series will premiere on Japanese television
on October 6.

Minamino gives a rather refreshing twist to the reincarnation genre.
Our protagonist was a legendary heroine who never knew defeat, but who ended
her days in absolute peace regretting not having found a worthy rival to make
her fall on the battlefield. When he wakes up in a new world inside the body of
the fragile and sickly Nia Liston, he realizes that he has a very long road to
go to regain his physical condition. However, with this second chance at life,
the girl is completely determined not to waste her fate: this time she will
live and die fighting the wildest opponents.
An ambitious team behind the cameras
The project will be animated by the
KONAMI animation studio under the direction of Motoki
Nakanishi, who will be assisted by Haruta Segi. The writing of the general
scripts will fall into the hands of Gigaemon Ichikawa, while Yuki
Ito and Kana Tosaoka will adapt the character designs that we originally saw in
the printed illustrations published by the publisher Hobby Japan. The musical
composition will be in charge of Naoki Endo and the sound direction will be
supervised by the veteran Hiromi Kikuta. This story started on the Shosetsuka
ni Naro site in 2019 and since then it has established itself as a real gem within
the community that enjoys powerful protagonists without mercy.
