Ranma 1/2 remake confirms the premiere date of its third season

Nostalgia continues to gain strength in this Reiwa era. The production committee behind the remake of Ranma 1/2, encouraged by the always busy MAPPA studio, has just given us excellent news to start the next season of releases. Through a spectacular promotional image that exudes all the chaotic charm of this iconic franchise, it was officially confirmed that the long-awaited third season will land on Japanese television and streaming platforms this coming October 3.

For this new stage full of martial arts and absurd love entanglements, the production decided to throw the house out of the window with its star signings. The oneless Masako Nozawa joins the team to bring the elegant yet imposing Grandmaster to life, while the talented Jun Fukuyama will play her grandson, the desperate Sentaro Daimonji. As if that were not enough, the energetic Minami Tanaka will take on the role of the intense Tsubasa Kurenai. In addition, legendary actresses Mayumi Tanaka and Saori Hayami are also integrated into the series, although the studio keeps the details of their characters under the most absolute and strict secrecy to surprise the community at the right time.

Martial Chaos Levels Up

If you thought that the life of our protagonist could not get more complicated, this season's story promises to take us to the limit of the physical comedy that we love so much in Rumiko Takahashi's original work. We will see Sentaro Daimonji suffering from escaping a strict marriage arranged by his grandmother, desperately looking for a strong woman to help him call off the engagement by force. Meanwhile, Tsubasa Kurenai arrives with her obsessive passion for disguise and her unconditional love for Ukyo, unleashing a hurricane of confusion and street fights by refusing to accept that she already has a fiancé.
