The production committee behind Fate's magical
alternate universe finally uncovered all of its cards. After leaving us with
the intrigue for years, it was officially confirmed that the long-awaited
sequel to Licht Nameless Girl will be titled Fate/kaleid
liner Prisma Illya Finale. Far from being a simple film to get by, this
new animated adaptation will arrive in an ambitious television
format and is scheduled to land in 2027, promising to definitively
close the long story of our favorite magical girls.
It is quite curious how this outcome was
cooked. General director Shin Onuma confessed that he had
initially considered producing one more feature film to finish the plot, but
the executives decided to give the green light to a television series so as not
to have to rush absolutely anything towards the final goal. Hand in hand with
the SILVER LINK studio, and under the direct supervision of
the author of the original manga, Hiroshi Hiroyama, the
team will now have enough time to adapt every detail. All this backed up
by Kazuya Hirata's impeccable work on character
designs and the solid scripts by Kenji Inoue and Hazuki
Minase.
