Prepare your weapons and raise a prayer (or
curse) to Being X! After a very long wait since its original announcement in
June 2021, the long-awaited second season of Saga of Tanya the Evil (Youjo
Senki II) is about to unleash war again. The second trailer for Saga
of Tanya the Evil II arrived confirming the opening of the season and
adding a detail that no one expected from the ending: Aoi Yuki, the
voice of Tanya, performs "Weiter! Weiter!" like
Tanya Degurechaff herself. The anime premieres in July 2026.
The opening "Why? RED
induction" by MYTH&ROID had already been
announced, and the new trailer features it alongside the ending performer in
the role of Tanya. The second trailer also shows that each episode will be
accompanied by a mini-anime titled "Yojo Shenki 2" that
will air immediately after each main episode, featuring the members of the
Salamander Kampfgruppe and the new additions to the group. A new cast member
was also revealed: Eiji Hanawa as Colonel Virginio Calandro.

The Production Team
The direction of the second season is in charge
of Takayuki Yamamoto at Studio NuT, taking over
from the director of the first season. Kenta Ihara returns to
be in charge of scripts and Yuji Hosogoe continues as
character designer and chief animation director.
About Saga of Tanya the Evil
Saga of Tanya the Evil (Yojo Senki) is a light novel by Carlo
Zen that began publication in 2013 and has fourteen volumes. Chika
Tojo's manga adaptation has more than thirty-five volumes. The story
follows Tanya Degurechaff, a young girl who harbors the mind of a
ruthless Japanese former office worker reincarnated in a world torn apart by
war. Known as the Devil of the Rhine, she fights as one of the Empire's
greatest soldiers while doing whatever it takes to survive. The first season
aired in January 2017 and was followed by a theatrical film in February 2019.
