The action
genre is about to receive one of the most bizarre and violent proposals of the
season. Bandai Namco Filmworks has just released the main
trailer for the long-awaited animated adaptation of the
manga Tank Chair (Sensha Isu). In addition to giving us
an electrifying look full of fights, the production committee officially
confirmed that this series will hit Japanese screens on October 4.
If the
premise sounds crazy to you, that's because it is. The plot follows Shizuka, a
girl who takes on the most dangerous murder jobs in the underworld, but with a
little trick: she's not the one who gets her hands dirty. The real executioner
is her brother Nagi, a lethal sniper who took a bullet to protect her, leaving
her in a coma and confined to a wheelchair. However, Shizuka discovered a
curious macabre trick to bring him back: Nagi only temporarily awakens when
faced with direct murderous intent. Thus begins a brutal journey of recovery
where they will have to search for the most bloodthirsty enemies in the city to
keep him alive.

behind this bloody gem
To ensure
that the bullets and blood look spectacular, the project is in the hands of
veteran studio Polygon Pictures, under the co-direction of Tadahiro
Yoshihira and Hiroaki Ando. The sound section promises to be a real spectacle
within the anime industry, as the opening theme titled
"DALALA" will be performed by the famous reggae-punk band SiM,
while the ending theme under the title of "SYNC"
will be in charge of the talented artist Daoko. It is worth
remembering that the original manga created by Manabu
Yashiro has been a constant success since its debut in 2022 through
the services of the Kodansha publishing house.
