The popular
articulated anime girl figures are finally ready to make the ultimate leap to
the screen. Kotobukiya's renowned mecha musume
franchise, Arcanadea, unveiled its first video trailer, a
promotional image, and the list of professionals who will work on its animated
adaptation, confirming that the series will officially premiere in January
2027.
The story transports us to a near future where humanity experienced a massive technological leap after the discovery of Arcane particles by Eden Industries. Thanks to this advance, Eden was born, the largest virtual reality server on the planet, within which players can immerse themselves in the MMORPG experience known as ARCANADEA. However, an unexpected explosion at the company's facilities during routine maintenance ends up altering the entire world, unleashing extreme weather events, communications failures, strange disappearances and granting superhuman physical capabilities to some people.
The project
will be produced by the Yokohama Animation Lab studio under
the direction of Keiichiro Kawaguchi. The scripts will be
supervised by Atsuhiro Tomioka, while the original character design
conceived by the Necömi artist will be adapted to animation
by Kumoha Arakawa. For its part, the soundtrack will be in charge
of the duo composed of Yuki Hayashi and Yuki Furuhashi,
guaranteeing epic musical moments within the anime industry.
