The Dangers in My Heart manga will end in three chapters

All good things come to an end, even the school romances that managed to heal our souls week after week. Chapter number 196 of the acclaimed manga The Dangers in My Heart (Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu / BokuYaba), written and illustrated by the talented Norio Sakurai, revealed on Tuesday that the work will definitely end in just three chapters. This confirms the warning that the author had left in the notes of the thirteenth volume published last January, where she asked readers to accompany the protagonists until the definitive closure of their stage in high school.

For those who have followed this little gem since its release in March 2018, saying goodbye to Kyotaro and Yamada will not be an easy task. The story began by introducing us to Kyotaro Ichikawa, a lonely boy at the bottom of the social ladder who believed himself to be the disturbed protagonist of a psychological thriller, fantasizing about ruining the lives of his classmates, especially the radiant idol Anna Yamada. However, that dark façade was nothing more than a shield to hide a deeply shy teenager who was gradually building a tender and genuine relationship with the sweet, but eccentric, girl of his dreams. After countless slow walks, shared snacks and awkward moments, the story will compile these last three chapters in its fourteenth volume to give a golden closure to this endearing romantic comedy.

Even if the main serialization comes to an end, the franchise still has a lot of content to offer. The play rose to worldwide fame thanks to its impeccable animated adaptation, which premiered its first season in April 2023, followed by a second installment in January 2024. In addition to having a successful compilation film that sold more than 170,000 tickets globally at the beginning of the year, the production committee has already scheduled the premiere of a third season for 2027. The universe of this quirky couple has also expanded with light novels and fun spin-offs in print and animated, ensuring that the community doesn't run out of material anytime soon.

Knowing that these last three chapters will formally conclude Kyotaro and Yamada's high school stage
