The attempt
at a quiet retirement for the most talented spy in the kingdom will have to
wait a long time. As soon as the first installment aired its ninth episode to
close its summer broadcast, the Kadokawa company surprised by
confirming that the anime Victoria of Many Faces (Tefuda ga
Oome no Victoria) will continue its story with a second season and
a totally new special episode.
For those
who enjoyed the protagonist's journey during the last few weeks, the production
announced that the surprises do not end with the closure of the regular
broadcast. Before diving into the arrival of the second season and
the new special, the series will air a compilation episode next Tuesday to
review the most important moments of the plot. The announcement was accompanied
by a new promotional image where the enormous support of the fans for the
protagonist trio was thanked.
The
adaptation will keep the same team under the Studio DEEN label. Nobukage
Kimura will continue to be directed, with Naohiro Fukushima supervising
the scripts and Mina Osawa adapting the character designs for
the animation. In the sound section, the opening theme "Isshin"
performed by Haku. and the closing theme "En no
Tsuki" by the group KI_EN marked the musical rhythm of
this first block of episodes.
The voice
cast features prominent figures from the industry. Actress Chika Anzai leads
the cast playing Victoria, accompanied by Shion Wakayama as
Nonna and Yohei Azakami in the role of Jeffrey. The story also
brings together the performances of Kenji Nojima as
Lancome, Daisuke Ono as Edward Asher, Saeko Akiho as
Yolana Haynes, Hiroshi Yanaka as Bernard Fitcher, Makoto
Furukawa as Zaharo, Kensho Ono as Cedric
Ashbury, Ryota Osaka as Conrad Ashbury and Megumi Han as
Clark Anderson.

The work
was originally born in 2021 as a web novel written by Syuu, before
making the leap to the print format of light novels with illustrations by Nanna
Fujimi under the Kadokawa label, also adding a manga adaptation
drawn by Komo Ushino since 2022. The premise follows Chloe, an
elite agent expert in combat and disguise who decides to fake her disappearance
after being betrayed by her own boss. Seeking an ordinary life under Victoria's
identity in the neighboring kingdom of Ashberry, she soon discovers that
walking away from trouble is impossible when local conflicts force her to use
her old deadly abilities as the shadows of her past begin to corner her.
