When a
franchise decides to put a character as beloved and aesthetic as 2B in its
game, players' expectations are sky-high. However, the recent crossover between
Dead by Daylight and NieR:Automata ended up generating quite a
few uncomfortable comments among fans, who were quick to notice that the
legendary 2B model for Feng Min looked quite far from the original design seen
in Square Enix's work.

The themed
collection was released in early October incorporating legendary skins for Feng
Min as 2B, Yui Kimura as A2, and a special Emil outfit for The Legion. The
controversy erupted a few days later, when several players managed to see the
2B model without its characteristic black blindfold. When revealed, the facial
structure, the shape of the eyes, the jaw and the general proportions set off
the alarms of the community, since in the original title 2B and A2 they share
very similar features, while in this game they looked like two totally
different people.
Faced with
the constant discontent with the quality of the model and the fidelity of the
textures, the game's community manager, known as Mandy, posted an official
response on the Dead by Daylight forums. In the message, he confirmed
that the development team will adjust the legendary look of 2B to bring it much
closer to the classic character design. Although there is still no exact date
for this visual update, it is speculated that the changes could come in a
secondary patch of fixes, also remembering that the images created by users
that circulate on the internet do not represent the final work of the company.
Dead by
Daylight is an
asymmetrical multiplayer horror video game developed by Behaviour
Interactive and originally released in 2016. The title has managed to stay
at the top of the genre thanks to its constant collaborations with major film,
television and video game franchises, allowing iconic survivors and killers to
face off in games full of tension.
