When health takes its toll, there is no willpower that counts. Mangaka Negi Haruba, remembered for being the mind behind The Quintessential Quintuplets, has had to make a stop along the way and indefinitely suspend the publication of his current work, Go! Go! Loser Ranger! (Sentai Daishikkaku), due to complications in his health condition.

The news was confirmed through the 47th edition of Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine, where it was detailed that the manga will go on hiatus without a scheduled date for its return. This interruption comes at a delicate time for fans of the title, since the work had only resumed its publication on September 24 after a pause that began in July. In addition, the story has been going through its final narrative arc since March of this year, a crucial stretch that has been interrupted several times by the author's constant physical problems.

Through a personal message shared with his readers, Haruba himself opened up about the situation he has been going through over the last few months. The creator admitted that since the beginning of the year he has been forcing his body to keep going, trying to convince himself that he was fine despite the discomfort. However, realizing that his condition was not improving, he made the decision to step aside to focus fully on his medical treatment, apologizing to the audience and promising to work to resume serialization gradually once he regains his strength.

Go! Go! ¡Loser Ranger! is an action, science fiction, and black comedy manga written and illustrated by Negi Haruba. The work began serialization in Weekly Shonen Magazine in February 2021, offering a rather fresh twist on the tokusatsu and super sentai genre by putting the viewer in the shoes of the villains.

The plot follows D, a low-ranking monster soldier who decides to rebel against the false narrative of peace imposed on Earth. After being defeated years ago, the monsters are forced to stage humiliating weekly battles in order to maintain the Dragon Keepers' status as heroes. Determined to put an end to this charade, D infiltrates the ranks of the hero squad to destroy them from within, unleashing a chaotic game of deception and strategy.
