Nippon TV reported that a mysterious man who identified himself as "Inosuke Hashibira" donated 100 mouth masks to a nursing school in Iwate Prefecture. The man claimed to have purchased the masks personally and also gave disinfectant to the establishment, after learning that they lacked this product.
When asked about his identity, the man delivered a letter that said the following: “I am grateful for the doctors' work. Thank you. -Inosuke Hashibira. ”
The name is a reference to the character from the manga and anime series Kimetsu no Yaiba. In the series, Inosuke wears a boar mask and possesses an abrupt and fast-paced personality, yet is governed on the principle of helping others no matter who they are.
The school's deputy principal, Nobuko Itou, mentioned being really surprised by this fact. “They told me that he is a character who always helps the weakest. I am so grateful that you have helped us with that in mind. ”
