Bushiroad had previously announced that Seiji Mizushima (Fullmetal Alchemist, Mobile Suit Gundam 00) will be directing the anime at Sanzigen Animation Studio (BanG Dream !, Monster Strike the Animation). Mizushima and Sanzigen are preparing a promotional video for the project, which will be presented to the Happy Around! Unit, which is part of it.
The company, in fact, acquired 8.2% of the shares of the Sanzigen study in December 2019.

Bushiroad is credited with the original idea, and the company's founder and current President Takaaki Kidani serves as executive producer. Ko Nakamura (BanG Dream!) Is credited with the original story, Masahiro Nakayama is the production supervisor, and Shigero Saitou (Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu, Lucky Star) is responsible for the composition of the soundtrack.
This project arises as the new Bushiroad trend of producing multimedia projects, following the success of BanG Dream! and Revue Starlight. D4DJ will include live performances, animation, and games. The project incorporates both new music and re-mixes of popular industry music.
For the part of the video game, the developer Donuts is taking care of it, which will be titled D4DJ Groovy Mix and will be released for mobile devices this fall.
