The statement was accompanied by a drawing of Saitama.
Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner will be in charge of writing the scripts for the film adaptation, both characters were behind the movie Venom, released in 2018.
According to the variety portal, Sony Pictures is the company behind this Live Action adaptation and commissioned Pinkner and Rosenberg for their recent achievements in producing blockbuster movies. It was also reported that Avi Arad and Ari Arad of Arad Productions would be in charge of producing the film.
One Punch-Man is a Japanese action-comedy webcomic created by artist One and started in 2009. The webcomic quickly gained popularity, reaching 7.9 million views.
The webcomic also had an anime adaptation based on the manga and made up of two seasons, the first was animated by Madhouse and the second was animated by J.C Staff.
Although the first season earned the appreciation of many fans, it was its second season that caused too much controversy, thanks to its notable drop in quality in animation that ended up disappointing many fans and causing various controversies.
