Studio Pierrot announces a collaboration with developer KLab

Animation studio Studio Pierrot and smartphone game developer KLab announced that they have signed a contract for a strategic business alliance. Through the collaboration, the companies will work together, with KLab adapting the content produced by Studio Pierrot to games for smartphones, as well as merchandise and events.


The companies have previously worked on the Bleach smartphone game: Brave Souls and Yu Yu Hakusho 100% Maji Battle. KLab launched the first in Japan in July 2015, and globally in January 2016; while the second was only released in Japan in August 2018.

On the other hand, Studio Pierrot currently has another collaboration with Too Kyo Games, from which the animation project Akudama Drive arises, which is scheduled to premiere in July. At the moment, the studio's production series also include Black Clover and Kingdom.

For its part, KLab Games also has an ongoing collaboration with Kadokawa, from which the multimedia project Lapis Re: LiGHTs arises, which is scheduled to premiere this year. The Magatsu Wahrheit smartphone game, also developed by KLab Games, will also be adapted for the anime.
