On the official Twitter account for NHK television, it was announced that the broadcast of the second season of the anime adaptation of the Takuya Mitsuda manga, Major 2nd, has been suspended.

In place of the next episode that was scheduled for May 2, the first episodes will re-air. The decision was made taking into account the recommendations of the Japanese government to slow down the spread of the new Coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The resumption date will be announced as soon as it is decided.

The anime premiered on April 4. The first season aired from April to September 2018, with 25 episodes and animated by OLM studios. For its part, Mitsuda launched the Major 2nd manga in Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in March 2015 as the first new installment in the manga series in five years.

  Synopsis
