The Spiral manga: Suiri no Kizuna will have a new serialization

Square Enix publisher Gangan Online app began publishing a "revival" serialization of the Spiral manga: Suiri no Kizuna by writer Kyou Shirodaira and artist Eita Mizuno. The application publishes a chapter daily.


The manga originally launched in Square Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine in February 2000, and ended in 2005. Volume 15 and final was released in Japan in January 2006. The manga inspired an anime that debuted in October 2002 and It lasted 25 episodes.

Shirodaira and Mizuno also collaborated on the Spiral Alive prequel manga, which debuted in April 2004 and ended in 2008. This manga started in Monthly Gangan Wing magazine before moving on to mainstream magazine Shonen Gangan in 2006. The prequel series reveals more about the mysterious group called Blade Children that first appeared in the main manga and anime series Spiral.

Synopsis
World class detective Kiyotaka Narumi's last words before his sudden disappearance continue to haunt his younger brother, Ayumu. The tenth-grader is equally embroiled in the mystery of the convicted "Blade Children" when he is mistakenly called the primary suspect in a murder at his school. Led by Ayumu's sister-in-law, Kiyotaka's wife, and her fellow detective, Madoka, the murder investigation gives Ayumu a chance to clear his name. But in doing so, you discover not only ties to the Blade Children, but also more questions than answers about who and what they are.
