The
official accounts of CITY THE ANIMATION revealed on Monday a
new promotional image focused on its three main characters: Midori,
Ayumu and Wako. This eccentric urban comedy will arrive on Japanese
television and Prime Video globally on July 6.
A
first-rate cast without a doubt
In this new
adaptation of the manga by Keiichi Arawi, creator of Nichijou,
the characters will be played by Mikako Komatsu (Midori), Aki
Toyosaki (Ayumu) and Yui Ishikawa (Wako). The three
protagonists appear in the image showing off their unique personalities and
ready for the daily chaos that characterizes this work.
A
production team with the Kyoto Animation label
The series
is directed by Tachi Ishidate (Violet Evergarden) at
the renowned Kyoto Animation studio. Character design and
animation direction is by Tamami Tokuyama (Sound! Euphonium),
while Shiori Yamazaki is in charge of the art. Instrumental
music will be provided by the band Piranhans, complementing the
absurd and endearing tone of the series.
