The dilemma
between loyalty to one's partner and the most dangerous temptation is ready to
make the leap to the small screen. The official site for the anime adaptation
of the popular spicy manga Kanojo no Tomodachi (My
Girlfriend's Friend), written and illustrated by Jura,
officially released its main trailer along with a new promotional image,
confirming that the series will premiere on October 4.
The new
trailer offers a direct look at the dilemmas of its protagonists and allows us
to hear for the first time the opening theme entitled "Gingira",
performed by the group Airots. For her part, the singer Ceui will
be in charge of performing the closing song entitled "False Love".
Along with these musical revelations, the production announced the addition of
new talent to the voice cast, highlighting Riho Sugiyama in
the role of Miyuki and Ryoka Yuzuki giving life to Kaori's
mother.
In the
starring roles, the series will feature Ryuga Nagaike as the
troubled Takeru, Sayahana Hanemurasaki playing the sweet
girlfriend Kaori, and Miki Hase lending her voice to the
provocative Tomoko. The animation is in charge of the Quad studio
under the Deregula production label of the firm WWWave
Corporation. Takashi Ando is directing, while Goko
Shiraki is in charge of writing and supervising the scripts. The
character design and general animation direction are the work of Ryuji
Iwata, supported in technical supervision by Akira Koshiishi and Konatsu
Kumagai, also with the sound direction of Hiroki Nishiyama.

Created by
author Jura, the original manga began its digital
publication on Kodansha's YanMaga Web portal in May 2021,
accumulating several compilation volumes in the Japanese market. The plot
revolves around Takeru, a high school student whose life changes completely
when Kaori proposes to him and becomes his first girlfriend. However, the apparent
tranquility of the relationship is threatened when Tomoko, Kaori's best friend,
begins to openly flirt with him and provoke him with her statuesque figure,
plunging the young man into a constant struggle between commitment and desire.
