In this year's issue # 10 of Shogakukan's Big Comic Superior magazine it was revealed that author Ryoichi Ikegami (Crying Freeman) will release a new manga in issue # 14 of the magazine on June 26.
The ad did not specify the format of the manga (one-shot, miniseries, or regular serialization). For their part, Ikegami and Buronson recently finished publishing the Begin manga on January 10. Shogakukan publisher published the ninth and final compilation volume of the manga on March 30. Ikegami and Buronson have been publishing this manga in Shogakukan's Big Comic Superior magazine since October 2016.
However, the most representative work is the Crying Freeman manga, in which he participated as an illustrator and the story was written by Kazuo Koike. This work was published in the Big Comic Spirits magazine of Shogakukan publishing house between 1986 and 1988. The publishing house compiled the manga in a total of nine volumes. The story inspired a series of six OVAs produced by Toei Animation Studios and distributed between September 1988 and January 1994.
