IG Port, the company affiliated with multiple animation studios like Production I.G and Wit Studio, announced that George Wada has taken the position of Executive Vice President of Production I.G Studios, which will be effective from June 1. Wada had previously been a member of the studio's board of directors, and president of Wit Studio.

IG Port also reported that Production I.G animator and COO Tetsuya Nishio and animator Takayuki Goto will now be Production I.G directors, effective August 28.

Wada joined Production IG in 2005, and was named president of Wit Studio in 2012. Since then, he has produced and supervised some of the studio's best-known works, including Shingeki no Kyojin, Owari no Seraph, Koutetsujou no Kabaneri, Mahoutsukai no Yome, Koi wa Ameagari no You ni, Pokémon: Minna no Monogatari, The Rolling Girls, and Vinland Saga. He will continue to serve as director of Wit Studio while serving as executive vice president of Production I.G.

On the other hand, Nishio is perhaps recognized for having made the character designs for various Naruto adaptations, as well as the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations series. He has also worked as a character designer, key animator, and animation director on notable studio projects such as Ghost in the Shell: SAC 2ng Gig and The Sky Crawlers.

Finally, Goto is a founding member of Production I.G, and has worked as an animator even before the studio was founded. He made the character designs for Ghost in the Shell: SAC 2ng Gig in conjunction with Nishio, and has worked on multiple other works such as the 1999 Hunter x Hunter series, Kuroko no Basket, and Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu Die Neue These.
