Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni visual novel launches its first chapter for free

The first chapter of the visual novel Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni has been released for free on Steam and MangaGamer until a vaccine for COVID-19 is manufactured.

As part of the "Hinamizawa Virus Bundle", users will be able to download the first chapter for free and get chapters II through IV through the purchase of Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Hou, with a 75% discount before July 14 2020.

Steam users will be able to get Chapter I for free starting today, while MangaGamer has already released it.


Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni

The English version of Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Hou includes new character designs and a full English translation. The Steam version also includes a series of unlockable achievements. Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni is a visual horror and mystery novel that has been adapted into anime multiple times since its release. The story unfolds in the town of Hinamizawa, and she follows Keiichi Maebara as she discovers the dark secret behind the terrible events that plague the town.

In fact, a new anime adaptation by Passione Studios is scheduled to premiere in July 2020. The new character designs have already been revealed in this note.
