Ongaku no Jikan 22/7 smartphone game to launch this month

The Aniplex company announced that the release date of the smartphone game 22/7 Ongaku no Jikan, will be next May 27 for iOS and Android devices in Japan.

In addition, since the application's pre-registration exceeded 227,000 users, details of the main theme song were revealed. The theme is a new song by the group 22/7 and is titled "Kaze wa Fui Teru ka?". Additionally, the music video for this new single was released.


The music video was produced by Maxilla, who has also collaborated on music videos for artists such as ONE OK ROCK, Suchmos, Kenshi Yonezu, among others. The sequence was directed by Kamiya Yuki, who also worked on the latest animated series for the Fate / Grand Order franchise and on the Nogizaka46 unit music video, "I see ...". The character designs and animation direction were in charge of Yukiko Horiguchi. Finally, the choreography was designed by Hidali, who for the first time coordinated the dance of eleven members.

On 7/22 Ongaku no Jikan

The installment will be a rhythm game developed by h.a.n.d. Inc. and distributed by Aniplex, whose plot will be developed within the Rokubanchou Academy. Furthermore, 7/22 is a multimedia project founded by Yasushi Akimoto, Aniplex and Sony Music Records, which focuses on the idol group of the same name.

The project inspired a series of short films published through the franchise's official YouTube channel, with the participation of CloverWorks studios and premiered in March 2018. However, a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by the studios was subsequently broadcast. A-1 Pictures under the direction of Takao Abo, and released in January 2020.
