Puzzle Game manga author Miyuki Noma has died

The publisher Hakusensha reported that the author Miyuki Noma (Puzzle Game) passed away on May 2 due to ischemic heart disease, at the age of 59. Family members held a private funeral on May 4.

Noma was recognized for her focus on shoujo and mystery manga writing, and is best known for having written and illustrated the Puzzle Game manga, which she published in Hakusensha magazine's Hana to Yume magazine between 1983 and 2001. The manga garnered other numerous derivative works, such as Puzzle Game Mystére and Puzzle Game Succeed, which were unfinished with the author's death.

The twenty-third and now last chapter of the last manga will be published on the Hakusensha publisher's Love Silky website on June 26. On the other hand, Noma had only just started publishing the first manga in Akita Shoten's Monthly Mystery Bonita magazine in March, and the first chapter will be published in the magazine's August issue, next July 6, together with a posthumous message.

Synopsis of Puzzle Game

The school mystery story unfolds at Hazuru High School, where the authority of the Student Council is quite extensive, as they establish the funds for the respective institute clubs. On the other hand, students vary between bad and good, like any other school. Our protagonists, Katsuki and Daichi aspire to be detectives in the future, and as training they will try to solve the greatest mysteries around this institute.
