Sega records several new titles from the Sakura Taisen franchise

The recent release of the Shin Sakura Taisen game in Japan for the PlayStation 4 system enjoyed a positive reception from critics and fans, as well as a manga, anime, and play adaptation.

However, Sega seems to be dissatisfied with the use of this franchise as he recently registered several internet domains in Japan, related to titles such as Sakura Taisen BLACK, Sakura Ishin and Sakura Kakumei which, although to date they do not know what they represent , it can be inferred that the title Sakura Ishin refers to a remake of a past title, while Sakura Kakumei could be a kind of spin-off. Although nothing has been officially announced, it is understandable that, with the excellent reception of the latest title, Sega is considering expanding the franchise even further.

About Shin Sakura Taisen

The game is inspiring an adaptation to the anime currently on air entitled Shin Sakura Taisen the Animation, which will have a total of twelve episodes and which premiered on April 3. The adaptation is carried out by the Sanzigen studios under the direction of Manabu Ono.

For its part, the game Shin Sakura Taisen was released in Japan on December 12, and in North America in spring 2020 for the PlayStation 4 console. A manga adaptation by Koyori Noguchi is also being published in the Weekly Young Jump magazine of Shueisha publishing house since last September 12.
