BanG Dream! is a Bushiroad-owned music and media franchise. Created by the company's president, Takaaki Kidani in January 2015 with an original story written by Kou Nakamura, the project started with a manga and later expanded to other media.

Currently, in addition to other manga, the franchise includes animated series, live concerts, CDs and music videos, and a rhythm game for smartphones titled BanG Dream! Girls Band Party, developed by Craft Egg. A new film saga was recently announced.

The premise of the franchise is based on bands made up only of women, whose members are voice actresses in real life. To date, BanG Dream! It has seven groups, four of which are made up of real-life actresses capable of playing their instruments.

The first band, Poppin’Party was founded in February 2015, and subsequent groups were introduced in 2017 with the release of the smartphone game. Afterglow, Pastel Palettes, Roselia and Hello, Happy World! were the ones added at this point. In late 2018, the band RAISE A SUILEN was included and the seventh unit called Morfonica was recently announced.
