The producer Nobuyuki Hosoya (Kemono Friends 2) announced through his official media that he has left the TV Tokyo company after having worked for 25 years. The producer noted that he was not fired.
Hosoya is perhaps best known for his involvement as the producer of the second season of Kemono Friends, recruiting Ryuichi Kimura as the series director, amid controversy over the departure of the first season director, Tatsuki, and the removal from the Yaoyorozu studios of the franchise. While this new season aired, Hosoya built a reputation for responding to viewers' views via Twitter.

After the second season ended its broadcast, TV Tokyo television broadcasted a formal apology for the "unprofessional conduct" of an unspecified producer. In addition to Kemono Friends 2, Hosoya also produced series like Sengoku Paradise Kiwami, Aikatsu !, Pokémon XY, and One Punch Man.
