On the official site for the Crunchyroll platform, it was announced that the annual Crunchyroll Expo event will cancel its edition of this year based on indications to ensure the health of fans, assistants, presenters, guests and members of the planning team. The decision was made mainly due to the unpredictable route that the COVID-19 pandemic could take in the near future.
Additional details about the reimbursement process for those who had purchased pre-sale tickets or booked hotels will be published through official means of the platform in the coming days.
However, Crunchyroll finalized its statement informing that the dates for next year's event edition have already been decided, specifically for August 6 to 8, 2021, at the San Jose Convention Center. New details will be revealed soon.
