A press release reported that the manga written and
illustrated by Soborou , “ Nande
Koko ni Sensei ga!? ( Why the Hell are You Here, Teacher!? )”,
will resume in the August 19 issue of Weekly Young Magazine after
a four-year suspension.
The work went into indefinite suspension in mid-2020
when author Soborou announced that he had to temporarily stop
due to health concerns, including ear problems and worsening tendonitis. Later,
in 2022, he resumed his activity with the serialization of “ Love and
Peace ” in Monthly Shonen Magazine , but due to
scheduling problems, “ Nande Koko ni Sensei ga!?” ” remained
on pause until now.
Soborou began publishing the manga in Kodansha 's Weekly
Young Magazine in April 2017. The work inspired a twelve-episode anime
adaptation produced by Tear Studio , directed by Toshikatsu
Tokoro and scripts written by Yuuki Takabayashi ,
released in Spring-2019 (April-June) .
Synopsis of Nande Koko ni Sensei ga!?
Ichirou Satou, a second-year high school
student, has always been a normal person, until he finds himself involved in
not-so-normal situations with his teacher, Kana “The Demon” Kojima. Kojima is
Satou's Japanese teacher and has a reputation for being so ruthless that even
school delinquents bow down to her. One fateful day, things get complicated
when Satou runs into Kojima in the bathroom, leading them to share an intimate
encounter that sets his imagination flying for days.
