Kaijuu no Tokage manga will end in July

In the July edition of this year's Bessatsu Shonen Champion magazine by Akita Shoten publisher it was revealed that the manga written by Souichirou Yamamoto and illustrated by Kamio Fukuchi, Kaijuu no Tokage, will end in the next edition of the magazine, on 10 July.

Yamamoto and Fukuchi started publishing the manga Kaijuu no Tokage in the Bessatsu Shonen Champion magazine of the Akita Shoten publisher in April 2019. The publisher published the second compilation volume of the work on February 17 and the story centers on two sisters. that they discover a mysterious egg, from where a new companion for both will emerge.

Souichirou Yamamoto is perhaps best known for being the author of the Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san manga, which he has published in Shogakukan publisher Monthly Shonen Sunday magazine since June 2013. The publisher published the thirteenth compilation volume on March 12.

The play inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by Shin-Ei Animation studios, directed by Hiroaki Akagi and scripts written by Michiko Yokote, released in January 2018. A second season aired in July 2019.
