The official website for the original anime Gibiate announced the start of digital sales for the closing theme titled “Endless ~ Across the Time ~” for users interested in donating money to charity. The proceeds will go to a fund to support those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in Japan.
The closing theme is performed by Sugizo and Maki Ohguro. After the donation, users will be able to download the song through the anime's official site anytime before September 30. Users will be able to donate amounts between 200, 300, 500, 1,000, 5,000, 10,000, 30,000 and 50,000 yen.
The site explained that this is because the anime's central theme is about a virus that attacks humanity, so the production team felt responsible for doing something positive for charity related to the current pandemic. For its part, the production committee of the series confirmed that the anime will premiere next July, as originally planned.
