Previously, it had been announced through an official statement that "the anime will have twelve and six additional episodes after the broadcast," which was wrongly reported as a total of 18 episodes. However, the additional six only referred to a series of videos that are published through the AbemaTV platform.
The series premiered on April 4 and will have a total of twelve episodes plus six episodes that will only be available via streaming. For his part, Toume began publishing the manga in Business Jump magazine in 1997, and later moved the publication to Grand Jump magazine in November 2011.
