Since 2017, the Japanese Anniversary Association has recognized July 22 as "One Piece Day," commemorating the anniversary of the start of the iconic manga franchise in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. That is why, through the social networks of the One Piece project, a special image was revealed to celebrate its 23rd anniversary in which the characters of the Wano Arc can be seen wearing traditional Japanese clothes.
The visual also serves to promote the new merchandise of the franchise that includes figures based on the promotional image. You can also find images inspired by the visual in the Simeji application, which allows you to customize the keyboards and emojis of smartphones.
On the other hand, on the official YouTube channel of One Piece a special program was broadcast a few hours ago in which the voice actress who gives life to the character of Luffy, Mayumi Tanaka, participated. The voice actor Kappei Yamaguchi, who gives life to the character of Usopp, also participated.
Additionally, a campaign was launched in the different social networks with the hashtag #ONEPIECE で 、 つ な が ろ う! (Let's connect through One Piece!) And the hashtag # ア フ レ コ ワ ン ピ ー ス (Voice recording for One Piece). This latest hashtag encourages fans in Japan to record themselves performing a couple of scenes that were released and that can be downloaded through the franchise's website.
Lastly, it was announced that the LINE application will sell stickers based on the Wano Arc starting on July 28.
