The
long-awaited anime adaptation of Secrets of the Silent Witch finally
premiered on July 5, and to celebrate its arrival on the screen,
an uncredited version of its opening was released. This
magical sequence is accompanied by the song "Feel", performed
by the band Hitsujibungaku.
A silent
sorceress on a secret mission
Based on
the light novels by Matsuri Isora and illustrated by Nanna
Fujimi, the story follows Monica Everett, one of the Seven
Wise Men of the wizarding world. Although extremely shy, Monica
masters magic without the need for enchantments, an unprecedented
power. His quiet life changes when he receives an order from the king: to
infiltrate an elite school to covertly protect the second prince.
A
magical team behind the anime
The series
is directed by Yasou Iwamoto at Studio Gokumi,
with Takaomi Kanasaki as chief director and in charge of the
series composition and scripts. The character design is in charge of Cona
Nitanda and the music is by Rina Tayama.
Where to
watch it and more about the franchise
The anime
is part of the summer season and is available through Crunchyroll in
simulcast. In addition, Yen Press publishes both the light
novels and their manga adaptation – illustrated by Tobi Tani –
in English.
With a mix
of fantasy, school intrigue, and unconventional magic, Secrets
of the Silent Witch promises to be one of the most enchanting titles
of the season. And its opening without credits already leaves an excellent
first impression!
