The anime
adaptation of Yokusaru Shibata's Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen
Rider manga has revealed a new trailer along with
four additions to the main cast. The series will begin airing in Japan
in October 2025, via TOKYO MX and other networks.
The story
follows Tanzaburo Tojima, a forty-year-old man who
has been obsessed with the Kamen Rider franchise all his life.
Although he was about to give up on his dream of becoming a hero, an unexpected
encounter with a thief will change his destiny forever.
The new
cast revealed
In addition
to the trailer, the actors who will play new key characters were announced:

Kayano as Yuriko Okada
- Kenichi
Suzumura as Ichiyo Shimamura
- Soma
Saito as Mitsuba Shimamura
- Fairouz
Ai as Yukarisu
The
creative team behind the anime
The
direction is in charge of Takehiro Ikezoe at the
LIDEFILMS studio, while Touko Machida is in charge of
the composition of the series. Cindy H. Yamauchi designs the
characters, and the music is in the hands of renowned producer Teddy
Loid.
A
tribute with an original stamp
The
original manga, published digitally in Hero's Inc.'s Comiplex magazine,
is inspired by characters created by Ishimori Productions and Toei,
the historical pillars of the Kamen Rider franchise. This
adaptation is shaping up to be a comedy full of nostalgia, emotion and
reflection on childhood dreams that never die.
With its
mix of humor, action, and homage to tokusatsu, Tojima Wants
to Be a Kamen Rider promises to be one of the most unusual and
endearing offerings of fall 2025.
