Entotsu Machi no Poupelle Synopsis

The story takes place within a city surrounded by a wall that rises 4,000 meters high. Because the city is full of chimneys, the air is always full of smoke, and consequently no one in the city knows what the sky really is like.

On the night of the Halloween festival in town, a delivery man accidentally drops the heart he was supposed to deliver and, unable to find the heart in the smoke, gives up and writes it off. But that heart is still beating and now it has fallen into the town of chimneys.
