The video game will be released in Japan on September 24, for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 consoles. The limited edition of the PlayStation 4 console will star the character of Megumin, while the Nintendo Switch will star Aqua. Both editions will include a series of special illustrations and a scale figure. On the other hand, the theme song is titled "It's So Fine!" and is played by Machico.

The story follows the original plot of the light novels, where the protagonist Kazuma and company find a "black slab" during a mission, which has the ability to create outfits. But the discovery of this slab will only bring trouble for Kazuma's group. First, the royal prosecutor, Sena, accuses them of thieves and they are banished from the kingdom. Later, they discover that the slab has a curse that "makes the opposite of your wishes come true."
This makes the masochist Darkness a ruthless sadomasochist, Megumin the founder of an alliance of lolis, and Aqua a primitive and proper goddess. To break the curse, Kazuma must use the black slab to make costumes that meet her wishes.
