On the official site for the third season of the anime adaptation of the light novel series written by Mamare Touno, Log Horizon, which is titled Log Horizon: Entaku Houkai, a new promotional video for the project was posted.
The video confirms that this third season will premiere on January 13, 2021 and will have a total of twelve episodes. Touno began publishing the light novel series with illustrations by Kazuhiro Hara in 2010, and Kadokawa publishers have published a total of eleven volumes to date. However, Touno published volumes 12 and 13 online between 2015 and 2017 (Kadokawa published the eleventh volume in March 2018).
The anime's first season premiered in October 2013 and was produced by Satelight Studios, while the second season premiered in October 2014 and was produced by Studio Deen.
